Sponsor Fruit Trees for Schools

Help Us Create Outdoor Classrooms for Future Generations

Every year, schools across Kent contact us looking for opportunities to create orchards, improve biodiversity and provide children with meaningful outdoor learning experiences.

The demand continues to grow, with more than 300 schools currently registered on our database.

By sponsoring fruit trees, you can help us bring these opportunities to life.

How the Programme Works

We work with businesses, organisations and supporters to provide heritage fruit trees to schools across Kent and beyond.

The cost to sponsor a fruit tree is:

£50 per tree

Schools typically receive donations in groups of 10 trees, helping them establish a small orchard that can be enjoyed for many years to come.

Whilst sponsors make a significant contribution towards the programme, Grown in Harmony CIC also absorbs part of the cost. Sponsorship helps fund:

  • Heritage fruit trees
  • Stakes and ties
  • Tree guards and protection
  • Administration and coordination

Please note that sponsorship does not currently cover delivery costs.

Choose Where Your Trees Go

We can work with you in a way that best meets your objectives.

Support a School of Your Choice

Perhaps your business has an existing relationship with a local school or community group.

Support Your Local Area

We can identify schools within a specific geographical area, helping your business create a positive impact close to where your employees and customers live.

Support Schools Already Waiting

We can allocate sponsored trees to schools that have already registered their interest through our programme.

Why Businesses Get Involved

Supporting Fruit Trees for Schools delivers environmental, educational and community benefits whilst helping businesses demonstrate their commitment to positive social impact.

Environmental Impact

Fruit trees capture carbon, improve biodiversity and provide valuable habitats for pollinators and wildlife.

Educational Impact

Trees create outdoor classrooms where children can learn about food growing, sustainability, nature and healthy living.

Wellbeing Impact

Orchards encourage children and communities to spend time outdoors, supporting both physical activity and mental wellbeing.

Community Impact

Fruit trees bring people together and create a lasting legacy that can benefit schools and communities for generations.

Positive PR Opportunities

Many sponsors choose to share their involvement through social media, internal communications, sustainability reporting and local press coverage.

Supporting ESG and CSR Goals

The programme offers a meaningful way to support environmental, social and community objectives.

Volunteer Opportunities

For businesses looking for a more hands-on partnership, we may be able to organise volunteer opportunities for employees.

These can include:

  • Tree planting days at the Grown in Harmony CIC community site
  • Community orchard projects
  • School planting activities (subject to safeguarding requirements and school approval)

Volunteering opportunities are discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Looking Beyond Fruit Trees?

Fruit Trees for Schools is just one of the projects delivered through Grown in Harmony CIC.

We are also developing community orchards, family programmes, wellbeing activities and projects that bring people together through learning, growing and connection.
