Purpose
Grown in Harmony CIC is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our work. We value the unique contributions of every individual and aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and fairness, and where people feel supported, safe and empowered to participate.
Scope
This policy applies to all directors, staff, volunteers and contractors, and to all individuals and groups who access or engage with Grown in Harmony CIC’s services, activities, programmes or events.

Grown in Harmony CIC will:

Responsibilities
Directors are responsible for ensuring this policy is implemented, upheld and reviewed. Staff, volunteers, contractors and partners are expected to treat others with respect and follow this policy.
Implementation
Equality, diversity and inclusion considerations will be embedded into planning, decision-making and service delivery. Appropriate information, guidance or training will be provided where relevant.
Reporting concerns
Any person who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment in connection with Grown in Harmony CIC is encouraged to raise their concern. Concerns will be taken seriously, handled sensitively and investigated promptly and fairly.
Monitoring and review
This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required, to ensure it remains effective, relevant and compliant with current legislation.
Legal framework
This policy is informed by the Equality Act 2010 and other relevant UK equality and human rights legislation.
